Castle not contracting…Expanding!

The next batch of Castle prospects got the call-up in 2009.  Jake Goss, Guy Augenstein and Aaron Retherford joined Castle Contracting over the last quarter, each taking the leap from larger Construction Management firms to Castle’s self-performing civil world.

This expansion move places Castle in the unique position of growing its operations at a time when the rest of the construction market is in decline.  Castle’s 2010 plan is to perform more than $20 Million of Earthwork & Utility; MEP Civil and Turnkey site development.

Jake – 32 years old – joined Castle in 2009 after several years as a site superintendant with Clayco construction.  Jake brings a CM degree from SIU-Carbondale and a hard-nosed approach to running sitework. “I was eager to join this team, and be part of something I can help grow,” explained Jake.  He will be working in project management within Castle’s SITE team, specifically working for the Clayton School District sitework, and Pace Properties O’Fallon development.

Guy – 27 years old – also comes from Clayco where he worked on the Casino Queen and NorthPark projects, as well as the BJC Data Center.  He joins Castle’s MEP Civil team, an area where he can take his remarkable energy and be part of all aspects of project acquisition and management.  In addition to his Castle responsibilities, Guy is a professor within the Washington University graduate studies program, teaching Cost Engineering for students working towards their Masters in Construction Management.

Aaron – 25 years  old – comes from the estimating department of SM Wilson, where he worked as a pre-construction estimator.  Aaron’s role will be to estimate in all of Castle’s divisions, and coordinate bid opportunities.  His steady approach aligns perfectly for  this newly created role.

The Young guns are ready to make their mark and Castle’s stands ready to grow with them and due their capability and commitment.
