Within the Shoppes at Sunset Hills Plaza sits a 370,500-square-foot Bass Pro Shop offering a wide range of supplies, equipment, machinery, and more. To support the new construction, the $2-million site improvements scope included removing fencing and landscape boulders and installing bioretention basins, StormTech underground stormwater detention systems, and storm sewer utilities.

As construction progressed, the City of Sunset Hills Board of Aldermen mandated enhanced access between the major roadways—Watson Road and Lindbergh Boulevard—and the new storefront’s parking lot. To satisfy the city’s requirements, the project team collaborated with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) to design and build upgrades at the Watson Road entrance, the Lindbergh Boulevard parking lot entrances, a nearby intersection, and the Lindbergh/Watson on-ramp. By coordinating with fire, water, and electrical contractors, the civil team also ensured compliance with building and lighting standards for Sunset Hills and St. Louis County.
