Bayer Chesterfield Campus Utility Upgrade
St. Louis, MO
Bayer CropScience’s biotechnology campus in Chesterfield, Missouri, houses research and development facilities focused on advanced solutions that help farmers improve crop yields and adopt more sustainable agriculture practices. The civil construction project team replaced underground fire and domestic water mains at the campus’s east and west ends, delivering a utility upgrade that reinforces the integrity of the campus’s critical crop-science work.
The project scope included hydro-excavating across 33,000 sf to enable safe and environmentally responsible digging around existing fire and water mains. By managing additional subcontractors, efficiently solving unexpected underground challenges, and coordinating necessary utility shutdowns, the civil team kept construction on schedule without disrupting daily campus operations.
